1. Elections of Officers for 2024
- Henry Newell (Chairman)
- Dusty Wall (Vice Chairman)
- Steve Watkins (Secretary)
2. Plaque of Recognition for New Corporate Hangar
- Hang in Terminal
- Proposed Dedication April 11, 2024
3. Presentation of new terminal options by Wilson Group & Talbert Bright, Inc.
- Seeking to capitalize on new funds available
- Multi-Purpose facility for Economic Development
- SCIT money may be idea for terminal (same as $12M)
- Travis & Brian from Wilson Group presented
Present building approximately 1500 sq. ft. Needs may be more like 5,000-6,000 sq.
ft. (Whiteville N.C is of similar nature)
Next Steps
- Determine options- end user, needs & wants
- Expansion of existing building or new building
- Approximately a 3 month process for planning a terminal
Gordon Powell made a motion to move forward with process. Bob Wilkerson
seconded & passed.

4. Prioritize Airport Projects
- NPE funds $150,000 per year from FAA (can bank for 4 years)
- BIL funds started 2022 Federal -5 year program
$145,000- $159,000 average per year
- SKIF –state money (our $12,000,000 is SKIF funds)
- TRDF –new name for SKIF funds
New Priorities
1. Runway Extension

3. Rehabilitated Entry/Access Road
4. Terminal Expansion (site prep & parking lots)
5. Terminal Improvements & Expansion
6. Runway Lighting System
5. Runway Extension Project Update
- Continuing Environment Assessment
- Field survey on 179 acres for Indian Artifact to be conducted in current phase
6. Rehabilitation Project
- Advertise & open bids in February 2024
- Potential start in May 2024
- Potential 35 day closure for Airport
7. STI 7.0 Funding for Box Hangars & Taxilane
- DOT Division Engineers-25% of vote in setting priorities
- State DOA-50% of vote
- Local RPO-25% of vote
