The Person County Board of Equalization and Review met on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at
9:06a.m. in the conference room located at 13 Abbitt Street.
Chairman Bradsher called the meeting to order. A quorum was present with three members
attending.
Mrs. Bradsher requested a motion to approve the minutes from the April 12, 2024 meeting, and
Mr. Puryear made a motion to approve, the motion was seconded by Mr. Sims, and the motion carried
with a 3-0 vote.
Mrs. Bradsher requested a motion to close out acceptance of any new appeals effective for 9am
April 16, 2024, Mr. Puryear made a motion to close out the acceptance of any new appeals, Mr. Sims
seconded the motion, and the motion carried with a vote 3-0.
Mr. Jones advised the Board of the 2 timely appeals that had been filed and the Board decided to
schedule these appeals for April 23, 2024 at 9am.
At 9:12a.m. Mr. Puryear made a motion to recess the meeting until April 23, 2024 at 9:00a.m.,
Mr. Sims seconded the motion and the motion carried with a 3-0 vote.
