Members Absent: Louise Oliver, Ron Anthony, Elizabeth McCoy, Kyle Puryear, Vacant (Person under the age of
18), Vacant (Under 18, State Youth Council Member), Vacant Juvenile Defense Attorney
I. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Martha Pickett. With new members, everyone introduced themselves
and gave an overview of their program.
II. Monitoring Updates
Martha and Eddie completed monitoring visits. Martha Pickett reminded all that JCPC is a payor of
last resort. It was also noted that the majority of program numbers should be met. Exceptions are
Youth Villages and Parenting Classes. Eddie Crews emphasized there is more scrutiny on the numbers
served in programs.
III. Approval of Minutes
Meeting minutes 9/13/23, 10/11/2023 and 1/08/2024 were approved
IV. Program Updates
Program updates were given by Roots & Wings and Youth Villages
V. Chief Court Counselor Report
Nicole Grant, Chief Court Counselor provided the monthly report
VI. Consultant’s Report
Eddie Crews gave an overview of JCPC and offered to do a more formal orientation with anyone
interested.

VIII. New Business
We must meet six times a year. Since there is not a vote on services, the February meeting will
be canceled. A motion to accept second year funding for existing programs was made by Joey Aguilar and
seconded by Charles Harvey. The motion passed.
