I. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Martha Pickett.
II. Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Joey Aguilar to approve the January 10th meeting minutes. Charles Harvey
seconded and the motion passed.
III. Program Updates
Program updates were given by Roots & Wings and Youth Villages
IV. Chief Court Counselor Report
Report was reviewed by Keri Cox. More referrals are coming in from the High School.
V. Consultant’s Report
Eddie Crews updated the group on JCPC funding. The contributions have remained flat since 2019
and work is being done to advocate for more money. There are also gun violence prevention
funds. He also reminded providers that 3rd Quarter accounting reports are due by March 22nd.

VIII. Announcements
Richard Johnson shared the success of the SUDS committee informational luncheon for local
pastors. There were 43 participants and the discussion panel proved very informative. Ronnie
Dunevant announced that Roots & Wigs has been flooded with referrals. Louise Oliver notified the
group of a scholarship opportunity for graduating high school seniors. The deadline to apply is
April 18, 2024 and applications are available at the local high schools. Richard Johnson also
announced the pilot program “Catch my Breath” has begun at Northern Middle School. This
program hopes to reduce minor vaping.
