December 7,2023
Present:Bob Brauer,Cheryl Allen,Larry Williams,Sandy Pleasant,Nancy McCormick
The monthly meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.by Bob Brauer,President.
BUSINESS DISCUSSION:
●Meeting Administration for 2024: Bob confirmed that the present meeting schedule of the first
Thursday each month from 5:30 -6:30pm is acceptable.Group confirmed.Bob will relay this
information to Michele Solomon.
●MEC Project Update:Bob reported no update from the NoMEC group since the project was
approved to go forward by the BOC on 12/4/2023.
●Habitat Conservation Plan:Bob has some proposed updates to the request to create a HCP and
will send them to our membership as well as to Derrick Sims on BOC.
●Update on PC Library Outreach:Both Cheryl and Sandy reported that on separate occasions they
had contacted the Library Director about environmental books for the Children’s Program at the
Library.
●Update on school library outreach programs:Cheryl noted that she had attempted to find copies
of the book selected,but there were not enough copies available to purchase from Amazon.
●2024 CT article plans and status:Discussion on ideas for future articles for the CT newspaper.
Planning to recap trash disposal options for January.
●By-Laws Update:Bob will send a copy to everyone with proposed updates for the original 2014
By-Laws for this committee.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.Next meeting is January 4,2024
at the Senior Center Social Hall at 5:30 p.m.
