Present:Bob Brauer,Cheryl Allen,Steve Evans,Bo Freeman,Larry Williams,Sandy Pleasant
The monthly meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.by Bob Brauer,President.
BUSINESS DISCUSSION:
●Fall Litter Sweep Planning:Everyone reminded of the Litter Sweep scheduled for September
16th.
●Personality Event:Bob noted a schedule had been sent out so that our booth would be covered at
the Personality event on October 7th .He has received DOT materials we can hand out.
●Update on school outreach programs:No decision to purchase made at this point.
●CT article plans and status:Brief discussion on ideas for articles.Cheryl suggested that the EIAC
reach out to experts in environmental issues and ask that they write articles which can be
submitted to the newspaper.This will be pursued.
●Duke Energy and Power Plants:Discussed groups thoughts on news of Duke Energy’s future
plans.Bob will engage with Beth Townsend (Duke Energy Community Liaison)on possibly
presenting at a future meeting.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.Next meeting is October 5,2023
at the Senior Center Social Hall at 5:30 p.m.
