Meeting Date: Nov. 10, 2020
Call to Order: A regular scheduled meeting of the Animal Control Advisory Committee was
held in Roxboro, North Carolina on November 10, 2020. The meeting convened at 6:00pm.

Approval of Minutes: Derrick made motion to approve minutes second by Heath and approved.
Animal Services Director Reports: No new reports.
Animal Cruelty Reports: No Cruelty reports.
Unfinished Business:
1. Ordinance changes livestock/Domestic fowl (chickens considered poultry)
a. Change section 5 to add Livestock and Domestic Fowls
2. Citation permitting animal at large (in replace of dog) also add a section under it
where it will allow to put the number of animals being cited. Make an info flyer to
hand out to people with General Statue regarding both livestock and poultry.
a. take out “other” section on citation
New Business:
1. Electing new chairperson - Tracey has resigned, Cindy offered to fill the position
voted and all approved.
2. Discussion on the Rules of Procedure of PCAS committee regarding Veterinarian –
one citizen at large opening currently other than the cruelty position and one
Veterinarian opening. Repost with Brenda for a citizen at large and a Veterinarian
Advisory Capacity.
3. Volunteer time of committee - Kelli asked if the members would be interested in
volunteering time or an item to an event the shelter holds at least one a year. All
agreed they could donate in some way.
4. Next year’s Scheduled Meetings dates – 2nd Thursday of Feb. May and Aug. first
Thursday in Nov. due to Holiday.

3. Aug. 12, 2021
4. Nov. 4, 2021
Rescue and Shelter Stats: Shelter and rescue stats were provided. (Copy attached)
Adjournment: Motion made that the meeting be adjourned and all approved. The meeting was
adjourned at 6:49p.m.
