Pursuant to NCGS §138A-15(e), the Chair shall remind Planning Board members of their duty to avoid
conflicts of interest and to inquire as to whether there is any known conflict of interest with respect to any
matters coming before the Board at that time. Does any member have any known conflict of interest with

D. AGENDA ITEM(S)
Item 1: Petition RZ-02-23 – A request by the Applicant, Public Service Company of North Carolina,
Inc./Dominion Energy North Carolina, to amend the zoning designation for the ±485.68-acre
Moriah Energy Center site, located at 6401 Helena-Moriah Rd., from RC (Rural Conservation) to
GI (General Industrial).
Item 2: A request by Person County to review the Person County Unified Development Ordinance that
consolidates land development regulations currently within ten individual ordinances, into one
consolidated ordinance, updates, and amends regulations for the purpose of providing land use
guidance and land development procedures.
