Attendance: Janet Clayton, Elliot Clark, Chief Hess, Joyce Harper, Tom Schwalenberg, Jenna

Welcome
Review and Approval of the 05.07.25 minutes
Mr. Clark motion to approve.

Quarterly Updates
• Person County Schools
● 140 students served - 14 parents refused services
● Revisioning next year to include a school psychologist
● Will be revamping the parent sessions and efforts to improve participation from
parents.
● Mr. Clark shared ideas about billing Medicaid when applicable as a potential
sustainability plan and will meet with Ms. Regan to discuss options.
• EMS
● Saved money on the vehicle purchased
● One employee has been hired, and the second position has been posted.
Freedom House Update
● County attorney has MOA for review.
● Working through sprinkler inspections now, causing a bit of a delay.
Operating Procedures/Bylaws
● Chief Hess has provided a template for the team to work with. Will discuss at the next
meeting.
Community Meeting Follow-up
● Discussed timing of the meeting to better align with budget season and potential RFP
planning.
● Discussed survey - suggested to use the same survey to allow for data comparison with
the initial survey results.
● Proposal is to send survey at the end of summer and host community meeting just
before the winter holidays.
● Team reviewed the results of the initial survey from last year. Approximately 177 people
participated.
● Discussed other surveys that are done and how we could collaborate to get a better
response including community health assessment and hospital survey.
● Discussed ideas of how to get a better response from the community on the survey.
One idea was to have a table at Personality to inform about the team and have the
opportunity to complete the survey.
● Survey will be sent in September and remain open for about a month.
○ Ms. Clayton will make a few edits to question 5 to encompass awareness of the
programs we are offering.
● Discussed ways to make the community meeting a bigger event by pairing with other
things such as health screenings, blood drive, food, etc.
● Discussed the difference in education outreach vs annual meeting.
● Team will consider adding a virtual option.
● Community Meeting will be held on December 2nd at 10:00 - Will check on S100 at
PCC.
Other Items
● Opening for Community Member with lived experience on the committee; application will
be posted.
