01-29-2026 Special Meeting Notice for Housing Summit
SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE
The Person County Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on
Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall,
located at 218 Chub Lake Street, Roxboro, NC.
This Special Meeting will be held as part of the Housing Summit, a joint
meeting with the Person County Economic Development Commission,
Person County School Board, and Roxboro City Council.
The Housing Summit will serve as a forum to address current and future
housing needs in Person County and the City of Roxboro. The session will
bring together local government leadership, private developers, and
community stakeholders to discuss housing challenges and opportunities,
identify the need for a range of housing options, including workforce,
attainable, and market-rate housing, and explore collaboration between
public and private sectors to expand housing opportunities.
This notice is provided in compliance with the North Carolina Open
Meetings Law.
